Our Journey
Our journey begins in Tokyo with sakura season in full bloom. Sakura means cherry blossom. For a special window of time, Japan’s ancient landscape becomes transformed by the beautiful pink and white sakura trees. Experience the synchronization of ancient & modern culture in Tokyo. Wander in the beautiful temples of Japan’s sacred isles. Venture deeper into Zen Buddhism in Kamakura. The quest continues in Kyoto, a city home to thousands of mystical temples. Concluding in Nara, a city treasured for its pure energy since ancient times.
From the 11th century poet Narihara
I have always known that at last I would take this road
But yesterday I did not know
It would be today.

Circle of the Way
On the great road of Buddha and ancestors,
there’s always unsurpassable practice, continuous and sustained.
It forms a circle of the way and is never cut off.
Between aspiration, practice, enlightenment, and nirvana, there is not a moment’s gap.
Continuous practice is the circle of the way.
The power of this continuous practice confirms you as well as others.
It means your practice affects the entire earth and the entire sky in the ten directions.
Because of this practice, there are the sun, the moon, and stars.
Because of this practice, there are the great earth and the open sky.
Because of this continuous practice of all buddhas of the past, present and future,
all buddhas of the past, present, and future are actualized.
Dogen
enter the magical realm
of Zen Buddhism
There are sacred streams of spiritual energy woven into the ancient islands of Japan. Like stars in the sky, each location is a part of a greater etheric constellation.
The transparent realms exist alongside ours— you only need to reach a certain frequency to become aware of them; like when the cloud mist clears and you begin to see the sky.
In the group energy field, when one person reaches a certain frequency, we all are carried into that new elevated frequency.
On the Japan Yatra,
Harijiwan & Mandev
will guide you into
the etheric dimensions of Japan
Each of us has lived millions of incarnations just to reach this moment.
We have lived in all of the elemental realms, as trees, as fish, as the air, as a flame— to be here now.
A yatra is a spiritual quest for energy.
We each have a destiny and we must cross a distance to reach it.
A yatra is a way to gain quantum momentum to journey in your destiny direction.

Yes, it's a good idea to have some Japanese Yen (¥) on hand for purchases at local markets, restaurants, and smaller shops, especially in more rural areas where credit cards may not be widely accepted. While larger establishments and tourist areas usually accept credit cards, having cash is essential for convenience.
We recommend converting your money before you arrive or at the airport, and carrying smaller denominations (such as ¥1,000 and ¥5,000 bills) for easier transactions. Many places may not have change for large bills, so having smaller notes will be helpful. -
You can make your payment online through our registration portal. If you are on a payment plan, your balance must be paid in full by Monday, March 3, 2025. Please ensure your payment is complete by this date to secure your spot on the Yatra.

The Yatra will take place during springtime in Japan, a beautiful time of year when the weather is mild and pleasant. Daytime temperatures will be around 67°F (19°C), while evenings can be cooler, with temperatures dropping to about 48°F (9°C).
We recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day, as you may experience variations in temperature. A light jacket or sweater for the evenings is a good idea.
Since we will be doing a lot of walking, it's also important to bring comfortable walking shoes. You’ll want footwear that’s supportive and suitable for both temple visits and exploring the cities. Additionally, we suggest bringing a day pack for carrying essentials like water, a hat, sunscreen, and any other items you may need throughout the day. -
